Welcome to the Lever Tutorial! This site will help you review the parts of the lever, learn the three classes of levers, and will walk you through some experiments with levers.

For this tutorial, you will need the following items:

  • one 2x4 piece of wood that is at least one yard long
  • a brick
  • a triangular piece to serve as the fulcrum
  • labels for the "fulcrum," "resistance," and "effort"
